About

We listen. Then we build.

For owners and operators of Australian businesses who are tired of manual work eating their week, we’re the AI and automation consultancy that listens first and delivers a measurable return on every change.

Our story

We’re listeners, not sellers.

Logic8 was founded by Sam and Mithun. They met the way a lot of people meet now: talking in the biggest AI community on the internet, swapping notes with people from all over the world. Then they worked out they were both in Melbourne. So they did the Melbourne thing and met for a coffee.

That coffee went long. Somewhere in it they realised they’d each spent more than twenty years in IT, building and running technology for other people’s businesses, and that they still loved it. Not the buzzwords. The moment a job that used to eat a whole afternoon starts happening on its own, and someone gets their afternoon back. By the time the cups were empty, Logic8 was a plan.

Logic8 has grown into a team since that coffee. The founders are still close to the work, and everyone who joins is held to the same standard: listen first, put a number on it, and measure it afterwards.

The name came next. Logic, because not everything worth automating needs AI. A lot of the best fixes are plain, well-built logic that runs while you sleep. And 8, turned on its side, is the infinity symbol. That’s how we see what’s possible for a business once the busywork is out of the way: endless. There’s nothing we can’t build. But building isn’t the point.

Listening is. Our job, before anything else, is to sit with you and hear what’s actually going on. What takes too long. What gets retyped. What gets missed on a Friday. Which parts of the week are costing you thousands of dollars and giving nothing back. Then we turn what we heard into a solution with a number attached: hours returned, dollars saved, and a date by which you’ll see it.

We’re listeners, not sellers. We don’t have the best sales pitch in Melbourne, and we’re fine with that, because we have the best ears. You’ll never get a hard sell from us. We only take on work where we’re confident you’ll get a return on it, and if we can’t see the return, we’ll tell you that too. That honesty is most of what people are paying for.

We run everything we recommend in our own business first, so when we say something will pay for itself, it’s because we’ve already watched it happen. If you’ve ever thought "there has to be a better way to do this", there usually is. Come and have a coffee with us about it.

What we stand for

Five things we hold ourselves to.

01Listen first

We start every engagement by hearing what’s eating your week, not by pitching. Best ears in the business.

02Prove it

Every recommendation comes with the hours or dollars it should save, and we measure it afterwards.

03Only work that pays

We take on clients when we’re confident they’ll see a return. If we can’t see it, we say so.

04Logic before AI

The right fix is sometimes plain automation with no AI in it. We build what works, not what’s fashionable.

05Stay hands-on

Senior people on every engagement. You get the team doing the work, not an account manager.

We only take on work where we’re confident you’ll get a return. If we can’t see the return, we’ll tell you that too.

How we work

We listen, then we prove the return. We start with one valuable change. You get the people doing the work, and no hard sell.

Come and have a coffee with us about it.
